Art in Science Award

To draw attention to the aesthetic value in scientific illustrations while still conveying scientific merit, the µTAS 2008 Conference is featuring a new award titled, "Under the Looking Glass: Art from the World of Small Science" sponsored by Lab on a Chip. Applications are encouraged from any person attending the µTAS Conference and the winner will be selected by a panel of senior scientists in the field of µTAS.

The presentation of the award will be preceded by a plenary lecture from Professor Julio Ottino on the creative process in scientific inquiry and how it is remarkably similar to that found in the world of art.

For more information, please visit the Art in Science Award section.
