The Medical Advances Without Animals Trust's (MAWA) aim is to advance medical science and improve human health without using animals for biomedical research. MAWA takes a leading role in animal replacement science by working cooperatively and productively with the scientific research community to facilitate the development and promotion of alternative non-animal methods. MAWA provides research grants, fellowships, scholarships, bursaries, sponsorships and other funding to universities and research institutions throughout Australia.
